Find And Purchase A Domain Name

Before you purchase a domain name you'll want to think about what you'll be marketing. By
choosing a domain name that fits the product you are offering you will be able to rank
higher, faster and easier in the search engines. Keyword domains are the biggest factor
in organic rankings online. Keywords in the domain name that match the product offered are
what you are looking for.
For example, if selling dog collars then domain names like shown below would be good
for the keywords you want to rank for.
bestdogcollars dot com
nicedogcollars dot com
dogcollarsforcheap dot com
dogcollarsonline dot com
etc...
As long as your keywords are together without seperator words between them you'll be in good shape.
Domains have been purchased for nearly anything one can imagine so it takes some creativity at times
to find one that will fit your keywords.
If at all possible go for a .com over the other options. People have imprinted the .com in
their minds so much so that they will read a domain name and automatically attach a .com on the end
if they aren't paying attention.
Also if you have a .net for instance and someone else owns the .com the above mistake
could send traffic to a competitor.
If only paid traffic will be used to drive traffic to your site then the domain extention
won't matter as much.
GoDaddy is a very good place to purchase/register your site's domain name. They are not however the
place to host your site. Price isn't that good and the features are lacking unless you buy
the big package. Otherwise only use GoDaddy for domain name purchases.
